Track 2 reintegration
If an employee is unable to work for a long period of time and there is no suitable work available within your organization, you can initiate a 2nd line labour reintegration. Track 2 for illness focuses on finding a sustainable, suitable position with a new employer. It is a responsible and time-consuming task that requires specialized track 2 guidance.
When to deploy Track 2?
You typically deploy Track 2 when it becomes clear after nine to 12 months of absenteeism that returning to your own or modified work (Track 1) is not feasible.
From then on, you as an employer are obliged to actively explore the external labor market with the employee and organize a suitable follow-up.
Role of the track 2 supervisor
An experienced Track 2 coach assesses the possibilities, draws up a personal action plan, and guides you through every step of the process.
This allows you to meet the requirements of the UWV and to help your employee find new, suitable work. Careful coordination with all parties involved is paramount, so that the guidance really fits the situation of your employee. This provides peace, clarity and speeds up the process towards a sustainable return to work.
