Psychological interventions
Psychological complaints are one of the biggest causes of long-term sick leave. Think stress, burnout, depression or anxiety symptoms. If an employee needs intervention because of mental complaints, quick intervention is essential. By offering timely professional intervention, you prevent problems from worsening and increase the chances of sustained recovery.
Intervention for your employee within 48 hours
At De Arbodienst , we look beyond the complaint. Together with our sister organization PSION, we offer psychological help without unnecessary waiting times. No standard solutions or labels, but a personal approach in which we really listen.
Within 48 hours, we schedule an intake session, followed by a first session within seven business days. That way, your employee gets help when it's needed.
More grip on psychological absenteeism as a manager
PSION not only provides recovery support, but also guides executives in spotting psychological symptoms. Fatigue, loss of concentration, irritability or withdrawal behavior are signs that are often overlooked.
In practical sparring sessions, we teach managers to recognize and discuss these signals. A valuable step in preventing long-term absenteeism.
Recovery as a common goal
The main goal of mental health intervention is: recovery. This, of course, also means recovery with respect to an employee's work. PSION psychologists look at whether an employee can still perform regular work, or part of it.
Sometimes the advice is to do modified work. The psychologist sets expectations about the duration of symptoms and limitations. Furthermore, the possibilities and possible next steps for recovery and reintegration are discussed.
