Breathing air tests
Working in areas with pollutants or low oxygen requires extra care for employee health. Consider occupations in the chemical industry, water treatment, silo inspection or manufacturing environments where hazardous fumes are handled.
Therefore, in order to work safely, a medical examination is mandatory when using breathing air. With this examination, a doctor assesses whether an employee is medically fit to work under an increased respiratory load.
What does the medical examination involve?
During the examination, our occupational physicians assess biometrics and perform a physical examination, among other things. This specifically looks at health factors that affect the safe use of breathing apparatus. These include lung function, exercise capacity and any medical conditions.
The inspection takes place according to the applicable guidelines from the Occupational Health and Safety Act and results in a clear certificate of fitness.
