As an employer, you are expected to play an active role in reintegration.

Glossary

De Arbodienst s employability team supports employers and its employees in the daily process of absenteeism management, as well as in the prevention of absenteeism within the organization. This team consists of:

  • AAG = The Labor & Health Advisor
  • POB = The Practice Support Officer company doctor
  • AVK = The health and safety nurse
  • The(Company) doctor

The Practice Support Officer company doctor, abbreviated to POB, supports the company doctor and the Occupational Health Nurse and works under the responsibility of the company doctor. He/she is authorized to take an anamnesis from the employee. Through a telephone triage, the POB collects (medical) information that may affect the reintegration process and submits it to the company doctor. Based on this information, the company company doctor can draw up an advice for both employer and employee. The company doctor determines directly whether, and if so, with which medical professional a follow-up consultation takes place.

The occupational health nurse, AVK for short, is one of the medical professionals on the employability team. The occupational health and safety nurses have a BIG registration, which makes them responsible and accountable for their professional practice. The AVK does work under task delegation from the company doctor. Tasks performed by the AVK include holding consultation hours and preparing reintegration advice and the WIA problem analysis.

In possession of a BIG registration and would you like to strengthen us with your qualities as a Health and Safety Nurse? Take a look at our overview of current AVK vacancies.

The Labor and Health Advisor, also known as the AAG, is the first contact for the employer and the employee and supports them in the absenteeism process with the reintegration and all legal obligations around the Wet Verbetering Poortwachter. He/she joins absenteeism talks between managers and employees, for support and advice. The AAG helps the manager to ask the right questions to the employee, focusing on opportunities in work. If help is desired in assessing the employee's workload capacity, the AAG schedules a consultation with the POB who, together with the doctor, assesses the medical situation.

The (Company) physician is ultimately responsible for the socio-medical supervision of the employee. By means of task delegation, the (Company) physician places some of the tasks with the other medical professionals, such as the POB and the AVK. By being involved in each file, the (Company) physician determines which medical professional can take on the socio-medical supervision for which file. In case of stagnation or significant changes in the medical situation, the (Company) physician takes over the guidance. He/she can also join tactical and strategic consultation moments with the client, together with the AAG.

We are regularly looking for doctors to strengthen our teams. So are you the company doctor and Inspirator who can offer just that little bit more to his or her colleagues?
