Niet zo gek natuurlijk, aangezien deze functie nog een beetje in de kinderschoenen staat. Daarom des te leuker om eens uit te leggen hoe mijn werkdag eruit ziet.
No consultation hour is the same
The Labor and Health Advisors book consultation hours in my calendar. It's then my job to discuss how they are doing, what's going on, but above all to look with the employee at what possibilities there still are when it comes to reintegration and development. I then make an advice about this for employee and employer. No consultation hour is the same and there are also days when many of the conversations are about the behavior that people have exhibited for years or other issues that affect absenteeism. It is then up to me, with the right dose of empathy and genuine interest, to hold up a mirror to people. My job is to ask the right questions and, above all, to listen a lot and be there for the employee.
After my daily consultation hours, I meet with the company doctor doctor to go over that day's advice. Then the company doctor doctor runs through whether the advice I have written is appropriate. If necessary, we adjust them and then I can send them to counselor, employee and employer.
That's what you do it for
In addition to consultation hours, I also attend meetings between the company doctor and consultants. Here, we often discuss what we notice within a company as reasons for absenteeism. In this way we can offer appropriate help from the Occupational Health and Safety Service and implement interventions to prevent absenteeism or identify it earlier.
All in all, no day is the same and time flies by. Before I close, I take a quick look at my schedule for tomorrow. Then I suddenly receive an e-mail from an advisor saying that we have made someone very happy with the advice. Satisfied and with a smile, I close my laptop. ''Thank goodness, that's what I do it for!'' After my work day, I put on my shoes, put on my headphones and start a nice podcast. Time for a walk.
